Live Nation chief communications officer Carrie Davis is exiting her post at after nearly five years of running communications for the world's largest concert promotion company, Billboard has learned. Davis is leaving to spend more time with family and her twin son and daughter.
Davis started at Live Nation in 2015 and helped modernize the $10 billion company's public relations operation, developing and overseeing a global communications infrastructure that touches every aspect of the company and is responsible for its consistent output of news items, acquisitions, company hires, festival lineups and tour announcements. She also served as chief crisis communications point person for the rapidly growing promotions company as it weathered lawsuits, an investigation by the Department of Justice and regular fire from competitors, consumers and politicians.
The Boston native is known for both her toughness and her empathetic approach to what is largely a thankless job, quietly working behind the scenes on projects that advocated for women and elevated the communications business.
