Warner Music Group executive Jeff Bronikowski has joined Apple Music, the streaming service has confirmed to Billboard.

Bronikowski first broke the news late yesterday (Feb. 10) with a post on his LinkedIn page, where he is currently listed as Apple's global head of strategic music initiatives.

The New York City-based executive previously spent just shy of three years as senior vp, global business development and head of technology & innovation at Warner Music Group. He has also held positions at The Echo Nest (which was acquired by Spotify) and the music divisions of AOL and Yahoo!, along with serving as senior vp of business development at Universal Music Group from 1997 to 2009.

In June, Apple Music announced that it had surpassed 60 million total subscribers, behind Spotify’s own 113 million paid users, as of the end of September. Meanwhile, Warner Music Group recently announced plans to go public with an upcoming IPO.
