Avid Larizadeh Duggan has exited Kobalt after less than two years as the company's chief operating officer, Billboard can confirm.

The London-based executive was appointed Kobalt's executive vp, chief strategy and business officer in January 2018 and became COO a month later. But her relationship with the company stretches back to February 2015, when she was general partner at GV (formerly Google Ventures) and led its investment in Kobalt.

"We were thankful to have Avid serve Kobalt for over 5 years in various roles including investor, board member, and COO," a Kobalt spokesperson told Billboard in a statement. "She led the foundations to strengthen our tech platform, empowered our product team, and championed efficient and data-driven approach. She's achieved a lot and we’re excited to support the next chapter of her career, which she is now pursuing."

Larizadeh Duggan, who is a non-executive director on the board of Barclays Bank UK, has more than 20 years of experience in startups and has worked as a developer, product manager, founder, investor and adviser. She was general partner at GV, the venture capital arm of Alphabet, Inc., from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, she co-founded Boticca, an online marketplace for luxury fashion accessories, in 2010, and served as COO until 2014. Her departure from Kobalt was first reported by Music Business Worldwide
