He plans to depart at the end of the year.

Warner Chappell Music's executive vp global operations Steve Clark is leaving the publisher at the end of the year.

London-based Clark first joined Warner Chappell in 1998 as head of copyright, rising through the ranks to become senior vp global administration in 2013 and executive vp global operations in 2017.

His responsibilities include leading Warner Chappell's international business procedures across more than 40 countries and he has recently overseen the introduction of new royalty software to improve tracking and reporting on behalf of the publisher's clients.

His departure was announced in an internal memo obtained by Billboard, which was signed by CEO Guy Moot and COO and joint co-chair Carianne Marshall. The new was first reported by Music Business Worldwide

"We've mutually agreed with Steve Clark that he'll be leaving the company at the end of the year," wrote Moot and Marshall.

"Over the last 20 years at Warner Chappell, Steve's built a stellar reputation for hard work, delivering on plans, integrity and a good sense of humor," they added.

Clark's next move has not yet been announced. Billboard understands his role will not be directly replaced, but his duties and responsibilities will be shared by other senior members of the management team.
