Songtrust has recruited Richard Aurigema as vice president of copyright, the company announced on August 19. The former EMI, BMG and Sony/ATV executive will report to Songtrust's global head of rights management operations, Brad Yuan.

“We're extremely excited to have Richard join the team," said Yuan in a statement. “As our copyright operation scales in both volume and complexity, Richard’s experience at the majors and other acquisition-oriented publishers will be extremely valuable."

 


 

Dualtone Music Group promoted executives Lori Kampa, Whitaker Elledge and Joey Luscinski on August 20.

Lori Kampa is promoted to SVP of Radio Promotion from VP of Radio Promotion. Kampa oversees the company’s promotions efforts, including securing airplay for singles and albums at AAA, Alternative and Americana formats. Whitaker Elledge is promoted to VP of Artist Development from Senior Director of Artist Development. Whitaker quarterbacks publicity and marketing strategy for all Dualtone releases. In addition he executes digital planning and activation with retail partners and oversees Dualtone’s e-commerce advertising strategy. Joey Luscinski is promoted to VP of Production from Senior Director of Production. Joey provides art direction and implementation for Dualtone releases. He manages inventory, production deadlines, graphic design for all print and digital media. 

All three are based in Nashville and report to Dualtone's CEO / Co-Founder Scott Robinson and President Paul Roper

 


 

Monument Records announced the hiring of Nathan Pyle as Manager, Marketing and the promotion of Sarah D’Hilly to Director, Digital Marketing & Sales on August 23. Both positions will report directly to Katie McCartney, SVP, Marketing & Label Operations. 

At Monument, Pyle will serve as project manager for the artist roster, responsible for all marketing and brand initiatives.  “We’re thrilled that Nathan is joining the team here at Monument. His unique vision will be an incredible addition to the company, and we can’t wait to see what he accomplishes” said McCartney.

D’Hilly has been with Monument since 2017, serving as the Associate Director, Digital Strategy. In her new role as Director, Digital Marketing & Sales, she will continue to oversee digital marketing and strategy, sales and streaming for all Monument artists and be responsible for additional special projects including podcasts. “Sarah has been such an asset to us since joining the team.  She’s a creative force and we’re proud to be announcing her promotion” said Monument Co-President Jason Owen.

 


 

On August 28 Mark Fry was appointed to the newly created post of Vice President, Warner Music Nordics. In this role he will work with Jonas Siljemark, President, Warner Music Nordics, to support the label's teams across the region in some of the world’s most advanced digital markets. Fry will also continue to serve as Managing Director of Warner Music Finland, a title he has held since 2017, and operate out of the company’s Helsinki office.

“I’m honored that Jonas has placed his trust in me to help him support our artists and grow our business across the Nordics," said Fry in a press release. "This is an exciting time for us as we’re taking advantage of new opportunities to super serve our artists and connect them even more deeply with fans.” 

Fry began his career at Warner Music Finland in 1997, rising through the ranks to become Head of Promotion. He left in 2001 to found Miidia, a digital rights management company, before joining Sony Music Finland as Marketing Director in 2004. Fry returned to Warner Music Finland in 2008, when he was appointed as the company’s Marketing Director. In 2012, he was given additional responsibility for Warner Music’s marketing campaigns across the Nordics.

 


 

Spotify promoted Marian Dicus to Vice President, Global Head of Artist & Label Services, the company announced Tuesday (August 27). Dicus previously served as the streaming giant's Global Head of Artist & Label Services. 

Dicus leads a global team focused on delivering best in class artist marketing campaigns, industry support and partnerships. Dicus and her team are charged with executing compelling and innovative campaigns for both new and established artists which include traditional, digital and experiential elements.

Since joining Spotify almost 6 years ago, Dicus and her team have executed over 1,000 promotional campaigns highlighting artists such as Khalid, Billie Eilish and Alec Benjamin.

 


 

AllTrack has hired Lise Barbanti as VP of Marketing, the company announced August 28. Formerly the CMO of Tunecore, Barbanti has operated in a wide array of industries, spearheading marketing efforts at organizations ranging from global enterprises to groundbreaking small businesses.

“AllTrack’s message and mission are clear. Independent artists, writers, composers and producers are often only partially aware of their rights," said Barbanti in a statement. "They typically don’t know about every financial opportunity available to them, and as a result they’re missing out on certain royalty streams. We hope to educate them and help them solve this dilemma as related to performing rights in a very easy way.”

Proper Music Group's Press and Promotions division have now been joined by Press Officer Joshua Hart.

Continuing their work with Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Macy Gray, the press team has been driving her campaign in the UK with interviews on ITV’s Loose Women, Good Morning Britain with Piers Morgan, and ITV’s Lorraine, all in support of her milestone tenth record, Ruby.

Kendall Durkee joined Backbeat Management as a Day-To-Day Manager on August 29.

Durkee will work closely with the company’s newly signed artists Terrell Hines, Kathleen, and Eleo. He will report to Backbeat Management’s Founder, Ethan Schiff, and his Partner, Will Suter

Backbeat Management is based in the Arts District in Los Angeles, working with artists, songwriters, and producers across genres, with a roster including Betty Who, Foreign Air and many more.
