Bandzoogle Launches Online Fan Club Feature

Music website platform Bandzoogle has launched a new subscriptions feature allowing artists to create their own online fan clubs, the company announced Tuesday (Aug. 6).

The feature, which is commission-free and available to all three tiers of Bandzoogle accounts as part of their regular monthly subscription fee, gives artists the option of creating subscriber-only pages on their websites that can be customized with music players, blog feeds, videos, online stores and more. 

"Our goal at Bandzoogle is to develop relevant tools for our members that build direct-to-fan relationships, and ultimately help them make money," said Bandzoogle CEO Stacey Bedford in a statement. "The subscriptions feature gives artists a new recurring source of revenue that is a more predictable income stream, while it also rewards superfans and more deeply engages their fanbase."

Subscription pages are integrated with an artist’s Bandzoogle website, removing the need to create a separate platform. Musicians own and control all data generated by the member pages and determine the monthly cost. To send updates to fans, artists can additionally create newsletters using Bandzoogle's built-in mailing list application.

This is the latest new feature announced by Bandzoogle, which launched a crowdfunding tool in June. Founded in 2004, the company powers more than 37,000 artist websites, with plans starting at $8.29 monthly.
