The Soka and Brazilian-funk peppered track made its first chart visit as it arrived at No. 9 the Tropical Airplay chart (dated Sept. 18) with only a day of airplay. After its first full tracking week, it takes over atop Latin Airplay with 11.3 million in audience impressions, a 643% gain, earned in the week ending Sept. 19, according to MRC Data.
With “La Funka,” Ozuna secures his 25th No. 1 on the all-Latin airplay ranking and breaks from a tie with Daddy Yankee for the third-most champs since the chart began in 1994. He trails Enrique Iglesias and J Balvin’s 31 leaders.
