The band tops the tally for the first time since 2018.

Pop Evil returns to No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with "Breathe Again," which rules the tally dated May 8.

The song becomes Pop Evil's sixth Mainstream Rock Airplay leader and first since March 2018, when "Waking Lions" crowned the tally for one frame.

The band, which formed in Michigan in 2001, first led with the four-week No. 1 "Trenches" in 2013.

Concurrently, "Breathe Again" bullets at its No. 20 high on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with 2.3 million audience impressions, up 6%, according to MRC Data.

It also reaches a new No. 7 best on the streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, where it's the group's first top 10 since the ranking began in June 2020.

"Breathe Again" is the second single from Versatile, Pop Evil's upcoming sixth studio album. Lead track "Work" hit No. 8 on Mainstream Rock Airplay last August.
