Drake, already among the most successful hitmakers on rhythmic radio, adds to his airplay empire with a record-extending 32nd No. 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart thanks to “What’s Next.” The single advances from No. 4 on the list dated April 24 to become the radio format’s most-played song in the week ending April 18, according to MRC Data.
The 32nd chart-topper extends Drake’s massive lead among all challengers for the most leaders since the chart began in 1992. In fact, he’s nearly lapped everyone: Rihanna, with 17 of her own No. 1s, is the only artist with even half of Drake’s sum. Here’s a look at the current top five standing:
