They join Drake in having led either global survey.
As previously reported, Justin Bieber's "Peaches," featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon, soars in at No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts (dated April 3).
Breaking down their countries of origin, Bieber and Caesar are the first Canadian artists to rule the Global Excl. U.S. chart. Two weeks earlier, Drake became the first Canadian to top the Global 200, thanks to his No. 1 arrival with "What's Next."
Before Bieber and Caesar (both from Ontario; Giveon is from the U.S.), The Weeknd came closest to leading the Global Excl. U.S. chart among Canadians, reaching No. 2 with both "Blinding Lights" and "Save Your Tears" (dating to the global charts' September 2020 starts).
