"Waiting on a War," the second single from 'Medicine at Midnight,' is their eighth ruler.
Foo Fighters extend their record for the most No. 1s in the history of Billboard's Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, as "Waiting on a War" rises 3-1 on the March 20-dated tally.
"War" reigns with 6 million audience impressions in the March 8-14 tracking period, up 14%, according to MRC Data.
The song's coronation follows the 11-week reign of Foo Fighters' previous single "Shame Shame" in November-January. The band first led Rock & Alternative Airplay, which began in June 2009, with "Wheels" for two weeks that November.
