Plus, Girl in Red debuts, driven by her new single "Serotonin."

Australian rapper Masked Wolf jumps 4-1 on Billboard's Emerging Artists chart (dated March 20) to become the top emerging act in the U.S. for the first time, as his breakthrough single "Astronaut in the Ocean" reaches the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.

The track from Masked Wolf (real name: Harry Michael) rises 49-37 on the Hot 100 with 11.5 million U.S. streams (up 15%), 4.9 million radio audience impressions (up 44%) and 9,000 downloads sold (up 16%) in the latest tracking week, according to MRC Data.

The song, released on Elektra Music Group, also ascends 32-30 on both Pop Airplay and Rhythmic Airplay and spends its second week in the top 10 of the Global 200 chart, at No. 10, and pushes 10-8 on the Global Excl. U.S. ranking.

Among other Emerging Artists chart moves, Norwegian singer-songwriter Girl in Red debuts at No. 49 on the strength of her new single "Serotonin." The track debuts on the multi-metric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs (No. 22) and Hot Alternative Songs (No. 24) charts, as well as Alternative Airplay (No. 30) and Rock & Alternative Airplay (No. 42).

Girl in Red previously appeared on Billboard's charts in 2019 with her single "We Fell in Love in October," which reached No. 14 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs.

The Emerging Artists chart measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay and streaming to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity. The chart excludes acts that have notched a top 25 entry on either the Hot 100 or Billboard 200, as well as artists that have achieved two or more top 10s on Billboard's "Hot" song genre charts and/or consumption-based "Top" album genre rankings.
