Bobby Shmurda's Streams Up 624% Since Prison Release

The biggest song by Shmurda in the most recently available two-day tracking period is "Hot N---a," also known as "Hot Boy," which received 2.2 million streams Feb. 22-23, up 340% from 491,000 on Feb. 20-21. "Bobby Bitch" follows with a 965% increase from 95,000 streams on Feb. 20-21 to 1 million on Feb. 22-23.

Both songs mark Shmurda's only Billboard Hot 100 appearances as a lead artist. "Hot N---a" peaked at No. 6 on the chart dated Nov. 22, 2014, while "Bobby Bitch" hit No. 92 the following week. In his lone other visit, he reached No. 25 in October 2018 as featured on 6ix9ine's "Stoopid."

More gains may be reflected on Billboard charts dated March 6, which cover the streaming tracking week of Feb. 19-25.

Shmurda (born Ackquille Pollard) was released from prison Feb. 23 after serving six years, most recently in New York's Clinton Correctional Facility, for multiple charges, including conspiracy, reckless endangerment and gun possession.
