The band ties for the most leaders among all acts since its first in September 2017.

Greta Van Fleet nabs a No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with a lead single for the third straight time with “My Way, Soon,” which rises 2-1 on the tally dated Jan. 30.

“Soon” marks the Michiganders’ fifth total No. 1 and first since “You’re the One” in March 2019.

Previously, Greta Van Fleet ruled with “Highway Tune,” the lead single from its EP From the Fires, beginning in September 2017, followed by the set’s “Safari Song,” which hit No. 1 in February 2018. Next, “When the Curtain Falls,” the first single from the band’s debut full-length Anthem of the Peaceful Army, reigned in November 2018. (“You’re the One” is also from the LP.)

“Soon” is the lead single from The Battle at Garden’s Gate, the group’s second full-length, due April 16.

Dating to the band’s first week on top (Sept. 16, 2017), Greta Van Fleet ties Five Finger Death Punch and Shinedown for the most Mainstream Rock Airplay No. 1s in the span since.

Concurrently, “Soon” reaches a new No. 7 high on the all-rock-format Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with 4 million audience impressions, up 10%, according to MRC Data. Some of that play, in addition to its mainstream rock reach, is via a selection of alternative and adult alternative stations.
