She becomes the first female act to secure a top 10 in 2020 with a new album.

Kali UchisSin Miedo (Del Amor y Otros Demonios) surges 21-8 on Top Latin Albums (dated Dec. 5) and earns the Colombian her first top 10 on the chart.

Her sophomore effort is her first Spanish-language set and includes collaborations by Jowell & Randy, Jhay Cortez, PartyNextDoor and Rico Nasty.

“Being it’s my first album all in Spanish, and it came straight from the soul not following any trends, it’s an honor and a surprise to me that people are buying or streaming it like this,” Kali Uchis tells Billboard. “I really just made an album I love, to honor my people and my upbringing. So I really just want to thank anyone taking the time to listen.”

Sin Miedo was released Nov. 18 via EMI/Interscope/IGA and debuted at No. 21 on the Nov. 28-dated chart from two days of tracking activity in the week ending Nov. 19. It advances to the Top Latin Albums chart’s upper tier with 7,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Nov. 26, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

With the jump, Uchis becomes the only female act to score a top 10 on the tally in 2020 with a new album. Only Shakira and the late Selena have reached the top 10 in 2020, but both did so with older albums: Shakira with Sale El Sol (No. 7, Feb. 15-dated list) and Selena's Ones (top 10 for eight nonconsecutive weeks starting April 11-dated tally).

Uchis’ 13-track set yields one debut on the airplay-, digital- and streaming-blended Hot Latin Songs chart: “Fue Mejor,” with PartyNextDoor, at No. 46.

Concurrently, Sin Miedo bows at No. 7 on the Latin Rhythm Albums chart and grants Uchis her first top 10 there as well.

Over on Latin Pop Albums, the set remains at No. 2 for a second week.
