She ties Toni Braxton and Daniel Caesar’s career kickoff trio of No. 1s.

Queen Naija scores her third No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Songs airplay chart as “Butterflies Pt. 2” advances from the runner-up spot on the list dated Nov. 21.

The single reaches the summit in its 27th week thanks to a 3% bump in the week ending Nov. 12, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

With the rise of “Butterflies,” the R&B singer-songwriter continues her perfect chart-topping streak, as her third No. 1 is also her third career chart entry. She previously led with “Medicine” for five weeks beginning in December 2018 and “Karma,” a one-week champ in May 2019.

By sending her first three Adult R&B Songs appearances to No. 1, Queen Naija joins the ranks of Toni Braxton and Daniel Caesar as the only acts to accomplish the feat. Braxton began her chart run with the four-week leader “Another Sad Love Song” and two-week No. 1 “Breathe Again,” both in 1993, and the following year’s “Seven Whole Days,” which reigned for six frames.

Caesar, meanwhile, started with “Get You,” featuring Kali Uchis, and “Best Part,” featuring H.E.R., which topped the list for one and four weeks, respectively. His next visit came through the Brandy collaboration “Love Again,” a two-week champ in November 2019.

In addition to its Adult R&B victory, “Butterflies Pt. 2” ascends 18-13 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. There, it improves 12% to 8.6 million in format audience in the week ending Nov. 12.

“Butterflies Pt. 2” appears on Naija’s latest studio album, Missunderstood, which debuted at No. 1 on the Top R&B Albums chart last week. In its second frame, the album slips to No. 2.
