Adele's Streams Jump 22% After 'Saturday Night Live' Hosting Gig

Streams of Adele's catalog jumped 22% in the U.S. following her appearance as the host of the Oct. 24 episode of NBC's Saturday Night Live, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

On Sunday, Oct. 25, the singer's catalog drew 3.3 million on-demand audio and video U.S. streams in the U.S., a 22% gain from 2.7 million on Oct. 24.

Additionally, digital downloads of Adele's songs totaled 4,000 on Oct. 25, a 527% vault over Oct. 24's count.

Though Adele was not the musical guest on the show (that distinction went to H.E.R.), SNL still found a way to show off her pipes, chiefly via a The Bachelor spoof in which Adele, playing herself, sang snippets of some of her standards, including "Rolling in the Deep," "When We Were Young," "Someone Like You" and "Hello."

Unsurprisingly, those songs were among the most streamed of her catalog on Oct. 25, with "Someone Like You" leading with 503,000 U.S. on-demand streams that day (and pacing her titles with 1,000 downloads sold). "Rolling in the Deep" followed with 332,000 streams, while "Hello" nabbed 324,000 streams.

Any further gains for Adele will be represented on the Billboard charts dated Nov. 7, with the tallies' streaming and sales tracking week running Oct. 23-29.
