He earns an honor last achieved by Taylor Swift in 2015.

Harry Styles leads Billboard's adult radio airplay charts with different songs, as "Adore You" spends a sixth week atop Adult Contemporary and "Watermelon Sugar" rises to No. 1 on Adult Pop Songs (dated Oct. 3).

The songs, from Styles' album Fine Line, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in December 2019, mark his first leader on each airplay chart.

Four other artists have led the lists with different songs simultaneously in the nearly 25 years that the tallies have coexisted. Hit singles often peak at the more conservative AC format after first breaking through at adult top 40, by which time a follow-up can infuse the latter format; "Adore You" reached No. 2 on Adult Pop Songs in May.

Styles is the first artist top both charts together with different songs in over five years, as well as the first male soloist ever to earn the honor.

Taylor Swift last did so, for five weeks in January-February 2015, when "Shake It Off" topped AC and follow-up single "Blank Space" led Adult Pop Songs.

Adele dominated AC for three weeks in October-November 2011 with "Rolling in the Deep" as follow-up "Someone Like You" led Adult Pop Songs, and Train first achieved the feat for two weeks in September 2010, when "Hey, Soul Sister" ruled AC and next single "If It's Love" led Adult Pop Songs.

"Watermelon Sugar" became Styles' first No. 1 on the all-genre, streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Billboard Hot 100 for a week in August and ranks at No. 8 on the latest survey.
