As for another feat thanks to "Maybe It's Time," Joe Elliott makes his first chart appearance apart from Def Leppard. With Elliott as the band's frontman, Def Leppard has been a presence on Billboard charts for over 40 years, dating to the July 5, 1980, bow of the band's debut studio album On Through the Night on the Billboard 200. The group boasts seven top 10 sets on the chart, including two No. 1s. On the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, Def Leppard has earned four top 10s, including the No. 1 "Love Bites" in 1988.
Elliot concurrently earns his first solo No. 1, as "Maybe It's Time" enters atop Hard Rock Digital Song Sales with 2,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
The weekly Hard Rock Songwriters and Hard Rock Producers charts (which began in June) are based on total points accrued by a songwriter and producer, respectively, for each attributed song that appears on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart; As with Billboard's yearly recaps, multiple writers or producers split points for each song equally (and the dividing of points will lead to occasional ties on rankings).
