The Head and the Heart's 'Honeybee' Buzzes to No. 1 on Alternative Airplay Chart

The band scores its third leader.

The Head and the Heart reaches No. 1 for the third time on Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart, as "Honeybee" flies 2-1 on the Aug. 15-dated survey.

The Washington state-based six-piece previously led the list with "All We Ever Knew" for a week in December 2016, followed by two-week ruler "Missed Connection" in July-August 2019.

"Honeybee" peaked at No. 2 on the Adult Alternative Songs airplay chart in June.

On the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock Airplay tally, the song bullets at No. 4, after reaching No. 3 last month, with 5.2 million audience impressions, up 14%, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

Elsewhere, the song is starting to receive crossover airplay, as it bubbles under the Adult Pop Songs list.

"Honeybee" is the third single from Living Mirage, the band's fourth studio album. It debuted at No. 3 on the Top Rock Albums and Alternative Albums charts dated June 1, 2019, and has moved 146,000 equivalent album units to date.
