Morgan Wallen's 'If I Know Me' Completes Record Run to No. 1 on Top Country Albums Chart

The set leads at last, as its singles continue to draw airplay and streams.

Morgan Wallen's debut LP If I Know Me wraps a record rise to No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, dated Aug. 15.

The set, released on Big Loud, lifts 3-1 in its 114th week on the survey, up 1% to 22,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 6, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. It debuted on the chart dated May 12, 2018, and has earned 1.4 million units to date.

If I Know Me's trek blasts past the prior longest trip to the penthouse on Top Country Albums, which launched in January 1964: Hunter Hayes' 2011 self-titled LP crossed the finish line in its 89th week on the chart (July 6, 2013).

The set is Wallen's second Top Country Albums entry, following his eponymous EP, which spent a week on the chart at No. 45 in March 2018.

Four singles were promoted to radio from If I Know Me: "The Way I Talk" hit No. 30 on Country Airplay and No. 35 on the airplay-, streaming- and sales-based Hot Country Songs survey in 2017; "Up Down" (featuring Florida Georgia Line) became Wallen's first Country Airplay leader and reached No. 5 on Hot Country Songs in 2018; "Whiskey Glasses" paced Country Airplay for three weeks and Hot Country Songs for two frames in 2019; and, most recently, "Chasin' You" led Country Airplay and reached No. 2 on Hot Country Songs in May.

The set has ranked in the top five of Top Country Albums for six consecutive months and has benefitted from enduring airplay of its singles. "Chasin' You" drew 23.1 million in audience in the tracking week, "Whiskey Glasses" garnered 9.2 million and "Up Down" collected 1.2 million.

"Chasin' You" also amassed 8.1 million U.S. streams in the tracking week, followed by "Whiskey Glasses" (7.6 million), "Up Down" (3.4 million) and "The Way I Talk" (2.3 million).

Meanwhile, "More Than My Hometown" is the first track from Wallen's upcoming sophomore album. It pushes 20-17 on Hot Country Songs and 26-25 (6.9 million audience impressions, up 15%) on Country Airplay.
