In what feels like a now regular occurrence, Drake adds another all-time Billboard Hot 100 record to his stacked resume this week, as he takes the title of the artist with the most top 10 hits in the chart’s 62-year history. With his featured turns on DJ Khaled’s “Popstar” and “Greece” arriving at Nos. 3 and 8, respectively, on the list dated Aug. 1, he outdoes Madonna, who had owned the record since 2002. (Madonna and Drake were tied for the then-most top 10s, 38 each, since May.)
For those keeping score, Drake now has the most top 10s (40), top 40 hits (113) and entries on the Hot 100 (224), helped by his prevalence in the streaming era, in which many more songs from albums reach the chart in general, and his standing as one of the acts most tapped for collaborations and featured roles.
