They're Playing 'Hard to Forget': Sam Hunt Scores Seventh Country Airplay No. 1

Sam Hunt notches his seventh No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart, as "Hard to Forget" rises 2-1 on the list dated July 25. The song gained by 3 percent to 31.5 million in audience in the week ending July 19, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

The song, which Hunt penned with Ashley GorleyLuke Laird, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, marks Hunt's second straight Country Airplay leader, following "Kinfolks" in February. Both songs are from his second LP, Southside.

Hunt first topped Country Airplay with his debut hit "Leave the Night On," for a week in November 2014, and added three more one-week No. 1s from his debut set, Montevallo: "Take Your Time" (May 2015), "House Hunt first topped Country Airplay with his debut hit "Leave the Night On," for a week in November 2014, and added three more one-week No. 1s from his debut set, Montevallo: "Take Your Time" (May 2015), "House Party" (September 2015) and "Make You Miss Me" (September 2016).Party" (September 2015) and "Make You Miss Me" (September 2016).

Hunt then led with his crossover smash "Body Like a Back Road" (also included on Southside) for three weeks in May 2017. The track dominated the streaming-, sales- and airplay-based Hot Country Songs chart for a then-record 34 weeks starting that February.

FIFTH GEAR Brett Eldredge achieves his fifth top 10 on Top Country Albums as Sunday Drive bounds in at No. 5 with 14,000 equivalent album units (10,000 in album sales). The set follows Eldredge's self-titled set which debuted at No. 1 in August 2017, becoming his second leader, after Illinois in October 2015.

Sunday Drive lead single "Gabrielle" rises 42-36 on Country Airplay (2.5 million, up 9  percent).

TOP 10 TWOSOMES Duo LOCASH earns its first Hot Country Songs top 10 since 2016 as "One Big Country Song" jumps 15-8. The track increased by 5 percent to 23.6 million impressions in the tracking week, as it holds at No. 7 on Country Airplay, and attracted 6.1. million streams and sold 1,000.

The act adds its third Hot Country Songs top 10, after "I Know Somebody" reached No. 4 in October 2016 and "I Love This Life" hit No. 5 that February.

Fellow duo Florida Georgia Line nets its 17th Country Airplay top 10, as "I Love My Country" rises 11-10 (20.2 million, up 1 percent).
