Post Malone's "Circles" ties for the most weeks spent on Billboard's Pop Songs radio airplay chart, as it scores a 45th week on the list (dated July 11).

The single, released on Republic Records, matches the lengthy stays of three other hits. It's the only song among the four by one male and no accompanying artists.

The Pop Songs chart, which launched in October 1992, measures total weekly plays, as tabulated by Nielsen Music/MRC Data, among its reporting panel of over 160 mainstream top 40 stations.

Here's an updated look at the longest-charting Pop Songs hits:

Weeks on Chart, Title, Artist, Peak Pos./Date
45 weeks, "Circles," Post Malone, No. 1 (10 weeks), Nov. 16, 2019
45 weeks, "Eastside," Benny Blanco, Halsey & Khalid, No. 1 (one week), March 2, 2019
45 weeks, "Love Lies," Khalid & Normani, No. 1 (two weeks), Sept. 22, 2018

39 weeks, "Another Night," Real McCoy, No. 1 (six weeks), Nov. 26, 1994

"For me, the staying power of 'Circles' is due to an absolutely addicting, fun, emotional and, at the same time, non-fatiguing hook, combined with relatable lyrics," R Dub, director of programming for Pop Songs reporter XHTZ San Diego, told Billboard earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the top five songs on the list above have all peaked since 2018, a trend toward greater chart longevity evident in multiple formats. "Hits are certainly hanging around longer," John Peake, program director for adult contemporary KOST and adult pop KBIG Los Angeles, mused last year. "That's due, in part, to the fact that we've gotten far better at measuring what our listeners want to hear. Different data points have increased our accuracy, including streaming numbers and Shazam."

"Circles" adds its latest chart honor, after it spent 10 weeks atop Pop Songs, becoming the first hit by a solo male and no accompanying acts to log double-digit weeks at the summit. On the all-genre, multi-metric Billboard Hot 100, it spent a record 39 weeks in the top 10, including three at No. 1.
