Jack Harlow’s ‘What’s Poppin’ Hits Top 10 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs

Jack Harlow scoops up his first top 10 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart as “What’s Poppin’” moves 13-10 on the list dated June 13. The track cracks the top tier in its 17th week on the chart.

In line with nearly all hip-hop hits, “Poppin’” traces its strength to streaming. The single clocked 14.3 million U.S. streams in the week ending June 4, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, up 3% from the previous week. The total lands “Poppin'” an 18-17 bump on the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart, a new peak.

Sales suffer a slight tumble, with “Poppin’” registering 2,000 downloads in the week ending June 4, a 3% drop from the prior week. It ranks at No. 18 on R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales in its second frame there, following a No. 19 debut last week.

The track’s radio reception continues to build, as it climbs 18-17 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. It grows to 9.5 million in audience in the week ending June 7, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, a 12% boost from the prior week.

Rhythmic radio has latched onto “Poppin”” the most, as it rises 10-18 on Rhythmic Songs through a 6% boost in plays at the format in the week. Elsewhere, the track jumps 9-6 on Rap Airplay with a 10% improvement in audience.

The radio gains push “Poppin” 48-44 in its second week on the all-genre Radio Songs chart. There, it nabs 17.2 million in audience, up 12% from the week prior.

Beyond its top 10 status on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, “Poppin’” rises 10-7 on Hot Rap Songs and 25-21 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Poppin’” appears on Harlow’s Sweet Action album, which debuted at No. 25 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in March.
