1 of 1 -- Sech’s third studio album -- surges to the top 10 with 7,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending May 28 (up 118 percent), according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Nearly all of that sum is from streaming activity. The set debuted on the list a week ago with 3,000 units from only one day of activity in the week ending May 21.
Before 1 of 1, Sech secured a spot in the Top Latin Albums chart’s top 10 with his album debut Sueños, as his first chart entry, arrived at No. 8 on the May 4, 2019-dated chart and peaked at No. 3 three months later (August 3). After its 58 weeks on the chart, Sueños continues solidly at No. 27. Sech has placed a third title on Top Latin Albums, the No. 11-peaking The Academy with Dalex in 2019.
As far as other 1 of 1 placements, the album climbs 12-4 on Latin Rhythm Albums and debuts on the Billboard 200 chart at No. 168.
A number of 1 of 1 tracks have hit the Hot Latin Songs chart, which blends airplay, digital sales and streaming activity. “Si Te Vas,” with Ozuna, reached No. 19 (Oct. 19, 2019), “Relación” hit No. 42 (April 18, 2020) and “Confía” with Daddy Yankee debuts at No. 47 on the latest chart.
Carlos Vives Returns With Cumbiana: Elsewhere on the Latin charts, Carlos Vives ends his three-year drought from the Tropical Albums chart, as Cumbiana, his 14th studio album, debuts at No. 9.
Cumbiana, released May 22 via Sony Music Latin, earns Vives his seventh top 10. It follows his eponymous album, which debuted and peaked at No. 2 on December 2017. Cumbiana arrives with 1,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending May 28, most of which derive from streaming activity.
The 10-track effort was preceded by one title on the Tropical Airplay chart: “No Te Vayas” peaked at No. 2 on the June 6-dated tally.
Concurrently, Cumbiana, debuts at No. 9 on Latin Pop Albums, his sixth top 10 there.
