It’s the first No. 1 on the chart for Megan Thee Stallion and third for Beyonce.
Megan Thee Stallion scores her first No. 1 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart thanks to “Savage,” featuring Beyonce, which jumps 3-1 on the May 16-dated tally.
“Savage” zooms 53% in U.S. streams to 41.2 million streams in the tracking wee ending May 7, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. The rise is mostly attributed to the first full tracking week for a April 29-released remix of the track that added Beyonce.
With the No. 1 ascent of “Savage,” Megan Thee Stallion nabs her first Streaming Songs leader, exceeding the No. 6 debut and peak of “Hot Girl Summer,” with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign, in August 2019. For Beyonce, it’s her third leader, following Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” in January 2018 and her own “Drunk in Love,” featuring Jay-Z, in April 2014.
