"Blame It on Baby" launches atop the Billboard 200.

DaBaby leaps from No. 15 to No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated May 2) to become the top musical act in the U.S. for the first time.

The rapper leads the list thanks to his third LP, Blame It on Baby, which debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 124,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

DaBaby also lands 14 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, including 12 of the 13 tracks from the album. "Rockstar," featuring Roddy Ricch, leads the way at No. 9.

The Artist 100, which launched in 2014, measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.

Meanwhile, Fiona Apple debuts at No. 3 on the Artist 100, thanks to her new album Fetch the Bolt Cutters, which arrives at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 44,000 units. The set marks her first entry on the chart since 2012's No. 3-peaking The Idler Wheel… The new set also starts at No. 1 on Top Rock Albums, while five of its tracks hit the Hot Rock Songs chart.
