Billie Eilish scores her first U.K. No. 1 single with “No Time To Die” (Interscope/Universal), which becomes the fastest-selling of the year to date. Per available Official Charts Company records, it records the biggest-ever opening week for a James Bond movie theme.
First-week combined units for “No Time To Die” total 90,000, including 10.6 million streams. Eilish becomes the youngest artist to take a Bond theme to the top, and it's the first by a woman to lead the U.K. bestsellers. The only previous No. 1 in the long history of the franchise's theme songs was Sam Smith's “Writing's On The Wall” in 2015.
Eilish's achievements come three days after she won best international female at the 40th Brit Awards, and in the week that the 18-year-old passed one billion audio streams of all her music in the U.K.
