'La Canción' jumps 2-1 on Hot Latin Songs chart.
J Balvin and Bad Bunny’s “La Canción” jumps 2-1 on the latest Hot Latin Songs chart (dated. Nov. 30). With a 21-week climb to the top, it's the longest journey to No. 1 since Nov. 5, 2016, when J Balvin’s “Ginza” traveled to the top in a 25-week period (Nov. 5, 2016).
J Balvin ups his career count to seven No. 1s, while Bad Bunny notches his third leader -- and first of the year.
The ballad and second single off their joint set Oasis -- which led the Top Latin Albums chart for eight weeks -- advances despite a 7% decline in streaming activity as both airplay and sales improve. “La Canción” earns 9 million in audience impressions (up 23%), in the week ending Nov. 24, according to Nielsen Music. It concurrently collects 1,000 downloads (a 16% gain) in the week ending Nov. 21.
