Interscope/Universal singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy follows his “Outnumbered” hit with a No. 1 debut on the Official Charts Company's U.K. album chart for Without Fear. Tones & I's “Dance Monkey” (Bad Batch) starts a second week atop the singles countdown.
Kennedy becomes the first Irish solo artist to top the U.K. album listings with a debut album since Ronan Keating did so with Ronan in July 2000. “Outnumbered” itself makes its first top ten singles appearance with a 14-8 climb. The album knocks The Beatles' 50th anniversary Abbey Road reissue (Apple Corps/Universal) down to No. 2.
Ed Sheeran's No. 6 Collaborations Project (Asylum/Warner Music) rebounds 6-3 as its latest hit “South of The Border,” featuring Camila Cabello and Cardi B, climbs 40-24. Post Malone's Hollywood's Bleeding album (Republic/Universal) is up 5-4 and Lewis Capaldi's Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent (EMI/Universal) down 3-5.
