Lil Nas X's 'Old Town Road' Feat. Billy Ray Cyrus Finishes in First Place On Billboard's Songs Of the Summer Chart

The record-breaking smash led the competition from start to finish.

Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road," featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, wraps at No. 1 on Billboard's 2019 Songs of the Summer chart, having led the list in each of the 14 weeks since the ranking made its annual return.

The 20-position Songs of the Summer chart tracks the most popular titles based on cumulative performance on the weekly streaming-, airplay- and sales-based all-genre Billboard Hot 100 from Memorial Day through Labor Day (this year encompassing charts dated June 8 through Sept. 7).

"Road," on Columbia Records, ruled the weekly Hot 100 for a record-breaking 19 total weeks (April 13-Aug. 17). It also dominated the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot Rap Songs and all-genre Streaming Songs charts for a record 20 weeks each.

Rounding out the 2019 Songs of the Summer chart's top five are Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" (No. 2); Khalid's "Talk" (No. 3); Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber's "I Don't Care" (No. 4); and Lizzo's "Truth Hurts" (No. 5).

"Road" is the fifth annual Songs of the Summer No. 1 that paced the pack from out of the gate to across the finish the line, never allowing another song to top the tally. In 2017, Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito," featuring Bieber, spent the entire tracking period at No. 1, as did Drake's "One Dance," featuring WizKid and Kyla, in 2016; Iggy Azalea's "Fancy," featuring Charli XCX (2014); and Katy Perry's "California Gurls," featuring Snoop Dogg (2010).

Last year, Drake's "In My Feelings" finished at No. 1 on Billboard's Songs of the Summer chart.
