Tank claims his fourth No. 1 on the Adult R&B Songs airplay chart as “Dirty” drives 2-1 on the list dated April 20. The single ascends thanks to a 17% boost in plays in the week ending April 14, according to Nielsen Music.

“Dirty” follows on the heels of Tank’s most recent Adult R&B Songs chart hit, “When We,” which ruled the ranking for 11 weeks in November 2017-January 2018, on its way to becoming the chart’s top title for 2018. The R&B veteran first landed on the list with “Maybe I Deserve” in 2001, which peaked at No. 5 that May.

In addition to “When,” Tank has also reigned top Adult R&B Songs with “Please Don’t Go,” a 10-week champ in 2007 and “Next Breath,” which led for one week in 2012.

Notably, the 15-month gap between “When” departing the summit and “Dirty” claiming the crown is by far Tank’s shortest break at No. 1. “Go,” “Breath” and “When,” were spaced out by nearly five years.

Beyond the Adult R&B coronation, “Dirty” also climbs to a new high on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart through a 24-21 boost. The single rallies 15% to 8.9 million in format audience in the week ending April 14.
