Queen Naija earns her first Billboard No. 1 song on any radio chart as “Medicine” tops the Adult R&B Songs airplay ranking dated Dec. 8. The track climbs 3-1 through a 6 percent gain in plays in the week ending Dec. 2, according to Nielsen Music.
The single is from the 23-year-old artist’s self-titled EP, which was released in July and debuted at No. 2 on the Top R&B Albums chart.
“I am very grateful for all God is doing in my life,” Queen Naija tells Billboard in a statement about her new chart champ. “I am so humbled by the success of ‘Medicine’ and everything that’s happened up to this point has exceeded my expectations.”
