Benny Blanco, Halsey and Khalid's “Eastside” (Interscope/Universal) completes its climb to the top of the U.K. singles chart, as the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again soundtrack (Polydor/Universal) returns to the album summit.
Producer-artist Blanco's single enjoys a late surge to overtake George Ezra's “Shotgun” (Columbia/Sony) -- which last week spent a fourth non-consecutive week at No. 1 and now falls to No. 3 -- and "Promises” (Columbia/Sony) by Calvin Harris and Sam Smith, which climbs 4-2 and misses out on the top spot by just 139 combined units.
“Eastside” jumps 3-1 in its seventh chart week with combined units of just under 50,000, according to the Official Charts Company. These included 4.4 million audio streams and 1.3m video streams. Blanco has 12 U.K. No. 1 singles to his name as a producer for Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and others.
