Journey and Def Leppard lead the newest Hot Tours round-up (below) with the second leg of their co-headline tour. They reported 17 shows to Billboard Boxscore for a total gross of $30,384,259. The second leg of their six-month trek spanned July 1 to 28 and ranged from 8,500-seat arenas to 45,000-capacity baseball parks, the largest of which was the sold-out show at Denver’s Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies, on July 21.

The rock veterans have a combined 33 top 40-charting singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and 26 top 40 albums on the Billboard 200. Def Leppard’s Hysteria ranked as the No. 25 biggest album of all time on the Billboard 200 chart, while Journey’s Escape placed at No. 47.

As noted above, the co-headline tour has considerable range in capacity around the country. While Journey and Def Leppard are both powerful touring acts individually, they brought in some extra juice for the bigger shows on this run. Cheap Trick guested at their show at Minneapolis’ Target Field and The Pretenders supported four dates in Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, and Detroit.

Elsewhere, rising Korean-pop group GOT7 makes their first appearance on the Hot Tours recap, bolstered by their July 6 engagement at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. The Los Angeles-area show grossed $1.3 million and attracted 9,600 fans, according to Billboard Boxscore.

While this marks the boy band’s first appearance on Hot Tours, they have been making inroads on the Billboard charts in the past few years. Since 2014, they have amassed 4 No. 1 titles on the World Albums Chart and have logged 51 weeks on the Social 50 so far, having peaked at No. 2 in April 2016.

The GOT7 World Tour Eyes on You ends in Hong Kong on Aug. 24. But with K-pop’s swelling global momentum -- marked by a New York stadium show recently announced by BTS and seven Korean acts in the top 10 of current Social 50 -- we can expect them to be back on the road soon.
