MercyMe’s “Grace Got You” ascends 2-1 in its 21st week on Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart (dated July 14), increasing 3 percent to 9.5 million audience impressions in the tracking week ending July 8, according to Nielsen Music.
On the hybrid Hot Christian Songs chart, which combines airplay, streaming and sales, “Grace” bumps 4-3 for a new peak.
With “Grace” moving into the Christian Airplay penthouse, MercyMe achieves its 15th leader — extending its record for the most No. 1s in the 15-year history of the chart. The veteran band, which formed in 1994, scored its first No. 1 when “Word of God Speak” topped the Aug. 16, 2003-dated list (two months after the chart's launch) and reigned for 23 weeks. It’s the longest ruling No. 1 in the history of the chart.
