The trio reigns with its debut single.

lovelytheband leads Billboard's Alternative Songs airplay chart dated April 21 with its debut single "Broken," marking the trio's first No. 1 on any ranking.

"Broken" lifts 3-1 in its 21st week on the chart. Led by Mitchy Collins, also of pop-folk duo Oh Honey, lovelytheband is the third act to top Alternative Songs with its first-charting single in 2018, following AJR ("Sober Up," featuring Rivers Cuomo) and Alice Merton ("No Roots").

The acts are also the only three to lead Alternative Songs for the first time in 2018, of six total new No. 1s. As for the other three: WALK THE MOON earned its second ("One Foot"); Imagine Dragons its fourth ("Whatever It Takes"); and Portugal. The Man its second ("Live in the Moment").

"Broken" also drives 4-2 on the all-rock-format Rock Airplay chart with 10.9 million audience impressions, up 11 percent, according to Nielsen Music. The rise is assisted by the track's continued gains on Adult Alternative Songs, where it bumps 30-26 in its third week.

The track has so far reached a No. 11 high on the streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Hot Rock Songs chart (where Oh Honey's debut hit "Be Okay" spent a week at No. 50 in 2014; it also reached No. 25 on Adult Pop Songs).

"Broken" is from the band's debut EP, everything i could never say…, released in September 2017; it hit No. 14 on the Tastemakers chart dated March 24. A full-length has not yet been announced.
