Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” featuring Justin Bieber, already owns the record for the most weeks atop the Hot Latin Songs chart, but now the single reaches a new milestone: a 50th week at No. 1. On the list dated April 14, the track nets a 50th nonconsecutive week in the chart's penthouse.
“Despacito” achieved the most weeks atop the chart earlier in 2018, when it surpassed the 41-week No. 1 run of Enrique Iglesias’ “Bailando,” featuring Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona. “Bailando” notched its 41 weeks at No. 1 -- consecutively -- between May 17, 2014 and Feb. 21, 2015.
