PSY Hits No. 1 on Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 Chart With 'I Luv It'

The “Gangnam Style” singer returns with “I Luv It” and “New Face” from his new LP.

Five years after PSY’s international hit “Gangnam Style” took the world by storm and reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, the South Korean pop singer is back again with two new songs, which reached the top two of the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart after their releases.

The Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart measures the real-time acceleration of conversation around artists and their music on Twitter.

“I Luv It” and “New Face” first appeared on the chart around 9 a.m. ET Wednesday morning (May 10) after the songs were released on YouTube and Apple Music—the tracks are not yet available on Spotify. “I Luv It” entered the chart at No. 1, with “New Face” right behind at No. 2.

The music videos for the two songs have each surged to 3 million global views on YouTube since their releases (as of mid-day May 10).

“I Luv It” and “New Face” appear on PSY’s eighth album, 4X2=8, which was also released May 10.
