Five Weeks & Counting for Ed Sheeran's 'Divide' Album on U.K. Albums Chart, Lucky 13 for 'Shape Of You' on Songs

Ed Sheeran continues to resist all competition on the U.K. charts, starting a fifth week atop the album survey with ÷ (Asylum/Warner Music) and claiming the top two on the Official Charts Company singles list again, including a 13th week at No. 1 with “Shape Of You.” 

÷ moved another 108,000 combined units during the sales week to last night, as its running total increased to 1.5 million. Rag 'n' Bone Man's former No. 1 Human (Best Laid Plans/Columbia/Sony Music) moved back 4-2.

Drake's More Life (Cash Money/Republic/ Universal) holds at No. 3, and British soul long-runner Jamiroquai debuts at No. 4 with his eighth studio album, Automaton (Virgin/Universal). After entering at No. 2 last week, Take That drop to No. 5 with Wonderland (Polydor/Universal).

Goldfrapp's Silver Eye (Mute) arrives at No. 6, also becoming the top-selling independent and vinyl release of the week. Kidz Bop by the Kidz Bop Kids (UMOD/Universal) starts at No. 7, U.S. metal band Mastodon at No. 11 with Emperor of Sand (Reprise/Warner Music) and Bob Dylan at No. 17 with his triple set of classic American songs, Triplicate (Columbia/Sony).

Sheeran's “Shape Of You” rules the singles scene again, with his “Galway Girl” at No. 2, where it has spent its entire five-week chart life. “Symphony” (Atlantic/Warner) by Clean Bandit featuring Zara Larsson improves again, 4-3, changing places with “Passionfruit” by Drake. “Something Just Like This” (Disruptor/Parlophone/Warner) by The Chainsmokers & Coldplay is back up 6-5.

There are climbs into the singles top ten for “Stay” (Interscope/Universal) by Zedd & Alessia Cara, 11-9, and Julia Michaels' “Issues” (Polydor/Universal), 13-10.
