Andra Day's 'Rise Up' rules, having snagged 42,000 Shazam tags after its sync on NBC's 'The Blacklist.'

Andra Day is making a nice habit of sending curious listeners to Shazam, as her "Rise Up" leads THR's Top TV Songs, powered by Shazam, for January, just a month removed from taking the No. 1 spot on Billboard & Clio Music's Top Commercials chart for December.

Rankings for the Top TV Songs chart are based on cumulative monthly Shazam tags, as well as sales and streaming information tracked by Nielsen Music during the same period.

"Rise" ranks at No. 1 thanks to 42,000 Shazam tags after its inclusion in the Jan. 13 episode of The Blacklist (marking the highest of four songs on the 10-position chart featured on the James Spader-starring NBC drama). "Rise" sold 37,000 digital downloads in January, with a 38 percent jump in the first full tracking week after the episode aired, according to Nielsen Music. Concurrently, the single continues climbing Billboard's Adult R&B Songs radio airplay chart, lifting to No. 13 on the Feb. 20 tally. It's also nominated for a Grammy Award for best R&B performance.

Last month, Day's updated rendition of Stevie Wonder's "Someday at Christmas," with Wonder, led the Top Commercials chart, thanks to its inclusion in an Apple holiday ad.

Cage the Elephant, currently charting prominently on Billboard rock charts with latest single "Mess Around," bows at No. 2 on Top TV Songs with the Kentucky band's breakthrough 2008 hit, "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked." The track scored 19,000 Shazam tags after appearing on the pilot episode of Fox's Lucifer (Jan. 25). In January, the song sold 17,000 downloads; it tripled its weekly total (to 6,000) following the premiere.

Meanwhile, Lera Lynn's version of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" lands at No. 6 on Top TV Songs with 11,000 Shazam tags. The cover of the classic soundtracked the Jan. 26 episode of ABC's Pretty Little Liars and sold 1,000 downloads in the week ending Jan. 28, up from a nominal amount the prior frame.
