Alejandro Sanz

Alejandro Sanz heads up the latest compilation of top-grossing Hot Tours with ticket sales totaling $1.1 million from a two-night stand at Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional on Jan. 29 and 30. Touring in support of his latest album Sirope released last May, the Spanish singer-songwriter kicked off a seven-city swing through Mexico with the engagement. Promoted by Latin American entertainment producer OCESA, the event’s attendance was logged at 18,766.

Sanz includes the 9,600-seat Mexican concert venue on his touring schedule every few years, generally booking engagements with multiple performances. Most recently he played for over 45,000 fans at six concerts during October 2013. Prior to that run, he had a six-show stand during the first quarter of 2010, an eight-night stint in April 2007 and nine shows in March 2001, but the most performances came in 2004 with ten concerts staged between March 3 and 20. On his current tour, he has two more upcoming shows scheduled for Feb. 16 and 17.

Comedian Kevin Hart lands in the second slot on Hot Tours with the first Australian performance from his What Now? tour’s trek through international markets from January through March. Ticket sales totaled just over $1.1 million for the Feb. 3 event at Perth Arena that drew a sellout crowd of 13,729. Dates in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney round out the tour’s schedule Down Under.

The What Now? tour began last year on April 9 in San Antonio and included 129 performances -- with multiple shows in most venues - in North American markets through the end of the year. The 2016 leg kicked off in the U.K. in January and followed with performances in the Netherlands, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Belgium and Singapore prior to the trek in Australia. Hart is set to wrap the yearlong tour with concerts in the South African cities of Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg in late-March.
