Actress/singer Dulce Maria jumps 40-10 on the Social 50 chart (dated Oct. 31) -- a new high -- after she revealed that she’ll be joining the cast of the telenovela Corazon Que Mienta. The former member of Mexican pop group RBD added 1.2 million views to her Wikipedia page in the week ending Oct. 18, a 783 percent increase, according to Next Big Sound.

The Social 50 is powered by data tracked by music analytics company Next Big Sound and ranks the most popular artists on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Wikipedia, Tumblr and Vine. The chart's methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with artist page views and engagement.

Maria debuted on the list dated Oct. 17 after fans celebrated the Oct. 4 anniversary of RBD’s formation in 2004. The act went on to score three No. 1s on Top Latin Albums, before disbanding in 2009. Maria has since charted three entries on Latin Pop Albums.

On Oct. 11, she was presented with an award for Best Latin Singer at a party for Para Todos magazine and shared several photos on Instagram, including a snap with Christian Chávez, one of her former RBD groupmates. She gathers over 404,000 Instagram likes and comments on the platform.
Also gaining on the Social 50 is Troye Sivan, who jumps 35-18. The rise comes after Sivan announced (on Oct. 13) that his full-length debut album Blue Neighbourhood will be released Dec. 4. Sivan shared the news on various social platforms, including a short video announcement on YouTube resulting in a 315 percent increase in reactions on the platform (156,000 thumbs-up and comments).

The announcement also included a rollout of the album artwork on Instagram and a new song debut on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show. Sivan gains nearly 2 million Instagram reactions and 236,000 Twitter mentions.
