Each Friday, Billboard presents Tomorrow's Hits, a weekly look at new and noteworthy acts making their way toward Billboard chart success.

EL VY makes its first Billboard chart appearance, as the ethereal, '80s-reminiscent "Return to the Moon" (4AD/Beggars Group) lands on the Adult Alternative Songs airplay tally at No. 28. EL VY (meant to be pronounced as a plural of Elvis), is a collab between The National's Matt Beringer and Menomena and Ramona Falls' Brent Knopf. The song is the title track from the pair's debut Oct. 30 album. –Gary Trust (@gthot20)

Seven months after signing to Pete Wentz's DCD2 label, 23-year-old actor/singer/YouTuber MAX (real name: Max Schneider) is bubbling under Pop Songs with "Gibberish." The track, teeming with claps and chants, features Hoodie Allen. MAX has appeared in 13 on Broadway, Nickelodeon's How to Rock and Rags and the Brian Wilson biopic Love & Mercy. –Keith Caulfield (@keith_caulfield)

Red Sun Rising

Hard rock band Red Sun Rising holds at its No. 6 high, claiming Greatest Gainer honors, on Mainstream Rock Songs with its first entry on the airplay chart, "The Otherside." The gritty-yet-hooky track is the lead single from the Akron, Ohio group's first album for Razor & Tie, Polyester Zeal (released Aug. 7). The set debuted at No. 7 on the Heatseekers Albums chart dated Aug. 29. –Emily White (@emwhitenoise)
