Troye Sivan arrives at the Australian premiere of 'Paper Towns' at Miranda Westfield on July 5, 2015 in Sydney, Australia.

Troye Sivan reenters the Social 50 (dated Aug. 15) at No. 41 after announcing a new six-song EP, WILD. The South African-born Australian YouTuber revealed new music was on the way in a video that premiered on July 25 at Vidcon. (That's the same conference where a year ago, Sivan announced his first EP, TRXYE.)

Sivan utilized multiple social networks to share a new piece of content each day following the album announcement, posting on Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and Snapchat. The content included lyrics to an upcoming collaboration with Broods, a password protected WeTransfer file, as well as “Wild Yourself,” an experience that lets fans create their own image with the WILD cover art.

Gains in Instagram reactions give Sivan his largest boost for the week, adding 831,000 likes and comments (a 319 percent increase) on the platform. He also sees a boost in Tumblr reactions (32,000, up 16 percent.)

The Social 50 is powered by data tracked by music analytics company Next Big Sound and ranks the most popular artists on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, SoundCloud, Wikipedia, Instagram, Tumblr and Vine. The chart's methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with artist page views and engagement.

Also on the list, reggae band SOJA debuts at No. 17, gaining a whopping 639,000 Facebook fans. On July 31, the band shared a thank you to their fans after crossing 4 million likes on the platform. The band formed in 1997, has logged two No. 1s on the Reggae Albums chart, and is currently on tour supporting its chart-topping 2014 album, Amid the Noise and Haste

Following the surprise release of One Direction’s new single “Drag Me Down” on July 31, the foursome rises to No. 4, its highest rank on the tally since the list dated Dec. 6, 2014 (when they ranked at No. 2). The group sees its largest increase for the week in Instagram reactions, adding over 3.5 million likes and comments, gathering the most reactions from the single’s cover art.

Justin Bieber furthers his lead on the list with a 26 percent overall gain in points following the kick-off of a 30-day countdown until his new song “What Do You Mean?” drops on Aug. 29. Bieber enlisted celebrity friends including Ryan Seacrest, Mariah Carey and Kylie Jenner to help count down the days until the song is released. Bieber will deliver a special performance at Billboard's inaugural Hot 100 Festival this Aug. 22-23. Get tickets here.
