The teenager's buzzy single features T-Pain.
Jacob Latimore has come a long way, from being featured on Radio Disney as a 9-year-old in 2006 to a recent starring role in a major motion picture. The now 17-year-old Milwaukee-native has re-emerged onto the music scene with a new single, "Heartbreak Heard Around the World," featuring T-Pain, which was commercially released on June 10 through RCA Records.
On Wednesday, after a video rollout strategy that involved building buzz with exclusive teasers featured on Idolator and Perezhilton.com days before, Latimore dropped a music video, causing the track to peak at No. 2 on the Billboard Twitter Trending 140 chart. He also promoted the music video debut with a Twitter Q&A with Music Choice (a cable music network) using the hashtag #YouAndA.
