Natanael Cano Shares First Trap Album as Rancho Humilde & Republic Records Join Forces

In an unprecedented move, indie label Rancho Humilde and Republic Records are joining forces in support of Natanael Cano's first-ever trap album.

The two powerhouses announced today (June 26) that Cano's Trap Tumbado will be released under Rancho Humilde in a strategic alliance with Imperial/INgrooves/Republic Records in an effort to catapult the trap album to mainstream success. 

"When we were first approached by Republic, I can't deny the level of excitement I felt," says Jimmy Humilde, founder and CEO of Rancho Humilde. "I respect Monte [Lipman] and his team and I knew they were the perfect partner for us to release the first trap album by a Mexican-American label."

Cano, ushering the corridos tumbados movement with songs like "Amor Tumbado" and "Soy El Diablo," has been making waves and climbing the charts thanks to his modern take on the traditional regional Mexican corrido.

Featured as Billboard's chartbreaker in February, the 19-year-old Mexican singer-songwriter, who started off at the age of 13 singing regional Mexican corridos, previewed his jump to trap in recently-released singles like "Arriba" and "Yo Vengo de Barrio."

Trap Tumbado follows his Corridos Tumbados 2 collection which peaked at No. 13 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart (dated June 12). The eight-track set, a mostly Spanish album with Cano singing some verses in English, features collaborations with artists like Tyan G, Lil Tecca and JhonnyX.
