"FaZe Clan is a very powerful pipeline into gaming culture and [its] cultural impact reminds me of the early days of '90s hip-hop," says Jimmy Iovine, a NTWRK investor.
ESports collective FaZe Clan has entered a partnership with e-commerce and culture platform NTWRK, whose investors include former Interscope and Apple Music head Jimmy Iovine.
“We’re at the birth of a new disruptive entertainment genre. FaZe Clan is a very powerful pipeline into gaming culture and [its] cultural impact reminds me of the early days of '90s hip-hop,” Iovine said in a statement.
NTWRK, which has worked with such artists as Billie Eilish, led the round of funding for FaZe Clan, which did not disclose the amount raised. As part of the deal, NTWRK has secured the global direct-to-consumer product rights for FaZe Clan, starting with the immediate integration of FaZe Clan’s apparel and merchandise into NTWRK’s platform.
