Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi is officially on Tinder, as part of a new partnership with the dating app.
Rather than a date, the "Someone You Love" singer is offering one Tinder match and a guest of their choice a flight to New York to join him at his Brooklyn show on Oct. 11, part of his worldwide fall headlining tour. The 22-year-old artist will also gift Tinder users with tickets to his sold-out concerts across the U.K.
"I’m very excited to have teamed up with the people at Tinder to give two lucky people the chance to fly out to New York to meet your favourite big lovely handsome celebrity (me)," Capaldi says in a press release. "I’m yet to find love & Tinder Gold is the only lifeline I have left before I’m resigned to a lifetime living at home with my mother."
To enter to win tickets, fans are invited to go straight to Capaldi's blue-tick verified Tinder profile and, of course, swipe right. He's advertising the URL with billboards and posters across the U.K.
As part of the partnership, Capaldi will also be sharing his personal tips for success on the app. Presumably, on Tinder's end, the deal is also a way to promote its Tinder Gold premium membership, which costs about $30 per month, depending on where you live.
This isn't Tinder's first team-up in the music industry. Earlier this month, Tinder and Live Nation announced a new “epic first dates” initiative gifting $30 all-in concert tickets for lucky users who swipe right on tour profiles. And over the summer, the app launched a "Festival Mode" with promoters including AEG and Live Nation, letting festival-goers find matches at the same festival they're attending.
